Thomas Vogelsang- CCS Volunteer
PROFESSIONAL PROFILE
After graduating from Graceland University with a B.A. in business administration and double minors in history and Spanish, Thomas was an intern for the Colorado State Senate Office under Senator Linda Newell during the 2016 Legislative Session. Subsequently, he was the dean’s office administrator for the Colorado School of Public Health at CU Anschutz Medical Campus and is currently working as a guest teacher with Denver Public Schools. Thomas is interested in a career in behavioral economics, policy and administration.
While an undergraduate student, Thomas won the Best Senior Honors Thesis award, managed a team of social entrepreneurs in Enactus, led campus activists in Trash Talkers, and honed his communications, social media, marketing, economics, business and finance, and project coordination skills. Additionally, Thomas coordinated and managed events, campus gardens, produce sales, construction and design, fundraising and program recruitment, and grant writing efforts for Graceland University’s Sustainability Program. He was also a staff writer covering personal finance, economics and sustainability for The Tower, a publication of Graceland University.
Thomas is adept at cross-platform social media marketing; website design and development; graphic design and videography. He is currently leading CCS efforts in driving social media engagement, developing social media marketing materials, and aiding with website redesign.
Along with his academic and professional achievements, Thomas was a youth mentor for PeaceJam, Outreach International volunteer in the Philippines, and was selected for a LeadAmerica Conference: Leadership and Healthcare in Washington D.C.
